The Royal Johor Charity Golf tournament held to commemorate the birthday celebration of His Majesty Sultan of Johor was held on 17 April 2005. A total number of 250 golfers took part in the competition and a total of RM 250.000.00 was raised in aid of various Charity Homes.

As for the Royal Johor Country Club members the tournament was played on the Texas Scramble format. In the afternoon, the charity golf was opened for public and sponsors while the format was based on Stableford points. This event was intitiated by H.R.H Tunku Bendahara Johor and is truly an important occasion promoting the spirit of community service and goodwill amongst fellow golfers.

Mr. Tan Swee Tee from Segamat Country Club achieved a Hole-In-One feat on the 7 th Hole and he won the Kembara and Renault Kangoo. Mr. Tan Swee Tee donated back the Kembara vehicle to Charity and kept the Renault Kangoo.
